Websites for interior designers in Florida

Your work sells itself. Your website should show it first.

An interior designer’s website is a portfolio before anything else: finished rooms, before-and-after photos and the story of each project, then an easy way to ask for a consultation. It should also use the right title, because Florida protects one of them. We build it, host it and keep it current.

What it needs

What an interior designer’s website needs.

Six things we build into every interior design site, and why each one matters to a client deciding whether to trust you with their home.

  • Your portfolio, first

Finished rooms up front, each project with a short story: the brief, the constraints, the result. Clients hire from work they can see.

  • Before and after

Galleries that show the same room before and after, from your own projects and with each owner’s permission. Nothing makes a transformation clearer.

  • A consultation request form

A short form for the rooms, the timing, the location and anything the client wants you to know, with the reply time you can promise. Or a link to the booking tool you already use.

  • Your design process

From the first meeting to installation: the steps, what the client decides when, and how you work with contractors. People relax when they can see the road.

  • Where you take projects

The towns and counties you serve, and whether you take projects farther away or work remotely.

  • Press and awards, only real ones

If you’ve been published or recognized, we show it with a link to the source. If not, the section simply isn’t there; we never invent recognition or client quotes.

Registration

Florida registers interior designers who seal permit drawings.

Since July 1, 2020, Florida doesn’t require a registration to practice interior design in general. The Board of Architecture and Interior Design registers the designers who sign and seal interior design documents for permits, and their registration numbers start with:

  • ID Registered interior designerCan sign and seal interior design documents when a permitting body requires them.

The Board’s advertising rule asks a registered interior designer to show the registration number next to their name, including online (rule 61G1-11.013, Florida Administrative Code). On the sites we build, a registered designer’s number sits beside the name with a link to the state’s license search; a designer who isn’t registered shows no number.

General information, not legal advice. Check the current rules for your practice with the Board of Architecture and Interior Design.

Florida registration: ID [your number]

How anyone can check a Florida registration in a minute

  1. Open the state’s license search at myfloridalicense.com.
  2. Choose “Search by Name” or “Search by License Number”, then type the name or the number.
  3. Check that the name matches, the license type fits the work, and the status shows the license is current and active.

Titles

Use the right words for your practice.

Florida opened interior design to everyone in 2020 but kept a few words for registered designers. Your website should use the ones that fit you.

  • “Interior designer” is open; “registered interior designer” is not. Florida makes it an offense to use the title “registered interior designer” without a registration, but does not restrict “interior designer” or “interior design firm” (section 481.223, Florida Statutes).
  • Residential work is outside the rules. The interior design part of Chapter 481 doesn’t apply to interior design or decorating for any residential application (section 481.229(6)(a), Florida Statutes), and the Board’s rule lets you describe that work as “residential interior designer” (rule 61G1-11.013).
  • Design, not contracting. Interior design doesn’t let anyone act as a contractor; construction work needs a contractor’s license (section 481.229, Florida Statutes). Your site can say who you work with instead.
  • Real client words only. Federal rules ban fake reviews, including ones written as if by people who never worked with you (16 CFR Part 465). We show only real clients’ words, with their permission.

How it works

From your first message to a portfolio that books consultations.

  1. Send us your best projects

Photos, a line or two about each project, the areas you serve and how clients usually reach you. One email or one call is enough to start.

  2. Get a written quote

A plain-English plan for the pages and a written price. Nothing starts until you say yes.

  3. See it before it goes live

You click through a working version on your phone and your computer, the way a client would, and tell us what to change.

  4. We host it and keep it current

Secure hosting, updates and backups are on us, with one content change a month included, such as a new project in the portfolio.

Two ways to get your site.

Done for you

Our team designs it, builds it and looks after it

  • A written quote before any work starts
  • A first version to click through, early on
  • Hosting, updates and backups handled by us
  • One person answers for the work, start to finish

Do I need to be registered to call myself an interior designer in Florida?

No. Florida restricts the title “registered interior designer”, not “interior designer” or “interior design firm” (section 481.223, Florida Statutes). Registration is needed to sign and seal interior design documents for permits. This is general information, not legal advice.

Can my site show before-and-after photos?

Yes, from your own projects and with each owner’s permission. We set them side by side so the change is clear, and we never use stock photos as your work.

Can my site list press mentions and awards?

Yes, the real ones, each with a link to where it appeared. If you don’t have any yet, we leave the section out rather than fill it.

Can clients book a consultation on my site?

Yes. We add a short consultation request form that emails you right away, or a button to the booking tool you already use.

How much does an interior design website cost?

Every website job gets a written quote before any work starts, and our website price guide shows our real price ranges. Tell us what you need and you get a plain-English plan and your exact price, usually within a few hours and always within one business day.

Can I build the site myself instead?

Yes. Atlas Web, our AI website builder, makes a site from one sentence about your business, and you change anything just by asking, in English or Spanish. You start with 500 free credits, no card needed, and you preview every page before you pay. If you would rather not do it yourself, we build it for you.

Ready when you are

Want to see your portfolio site before you decide?

Tell us about your studio and your favorite projects. We usually reply within a few hours, and always within one business day, with a plan and a written quote. Nothing starts until you say so.
